HDR is all the rage at the moment, however lots of peoples images, look very fake and artificil, some of mine do, sometimes it works, depending on the look you want.

Decent day out taking photos in London on Saturday.
Was lucky enough to get some photos of the London SantaCon 2009 in Trafalgar square, as I headed back across town toward the winterwonderland in hyde park

Upgrades
Decided to shell out for the MB-D10 grip, and glad I did. Really improves the handling and the ability to run the extra battery or even use AA batteries as a reserve is great. Also switched to Lexar pro memory, the UDMA stuff flies.

Made the switch
Made the switch to Windows 7 over the weekend, this means that I can now run Photoshop CS4 64 bit and Lightroom 64bit.
Also started shooting in pure RAW, which then gives me full control over the produced JPEG files, but it doesn't half add some time, when it comes to post processing.

Don't order from https://www.dc-battery.co.uk/
Ordered some copy batteries from https://www.dc-battery.co.uk/ about 2 weeks ago, still waiting for them, i'd rather have paid extra and gone somewhere else, or put it toward a MB-D10 and used my Ni-MH AAs

New tripod
Really impressed with the new tripod, feels really solid and the "3D" column makes it very versatile. Managed adapt a strap for it, and strap for the remote shutter release, so that can now hang off the tripod spider.

Missed out
On a "as new" MB-D10 for my camera, wasn't going to pay over the odds for a second hand grip.
